Discussion: ER 11.8. 2006: The cut for grave 2403 was nearly abutted by the mudbrick lining in the E part, whereas towards the W corner grey soil was backfilled between 13725 and the cut.

HSL 25.7. 2007: This cut is the outer limits of grave 2403, particularly focused on 'profile' behind the Byzantine mudbricks of the grave. 

 

Recognition: cut line cutting through possibly EC plaster 13726 and mudbrick 13760; 2007: appearance of Chalcolithic mudbricks and animal burrows Byzantine bricks. 

Definition: clear towards north, yet unexplored towards W, in E and S under profiles; 2007: very clear due to Byzantine brick removal 

Execution: trowel & hand pick 

Condition: hot, under shelter; windy and dry 

Shape: rectangular 

Sides: 2006: vertical; 2007: straight and rough 

Base Break: 2006: angular 90o; 2007: stepped but sharp 

Base: 2006: flat; 2007: stepped
