Discussion: After removal of 13764 it became clear that we dug with this unit grave fill (above the lower body) and the fill of a disturbance that had dug away the upper body. So we decided to fully expose the skeleton with two units. 13780, however, the real original grave fill, revealed no finds at all, except one possible coffin-related nail. 

Recognition: around the bones was undisturbed soil 

Definition: towards 13756 clear, no border visible towards apparently disturbed area in region of upper body

Condition: very hot, under shelter 

Consistency: soft 

Colour: dark grey 

Texture: sandy loam 

Bedding: compact 

Inclusions: none - no finds at all 

Post-depositional Features: none 

Basal Boundary: hard surface - end on stone lining 13757
