Discussion: This unit was exposed two years ago (2012), but excavated this year, 2014. The unit began to be recorded in 2012, and was found to be more white and plaster than we found it this year when excavated it. This layer was either a floor or possibly a make-up or preparation for a floor. The color was the same throughout the unit, but the southwest corner was thicker than the east and north sections. This unit was hand excavated with small triangular trowels. The boundary of this unit was deliminated by platforms on the north and east sides as well as by the color and texture difference between the hearth and dirty floor on the south side. Unit 19835 was partially covering some of the rim of the hearth, so we decided to remove it.
