Unit 20952
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Grey floor and make-up
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: dark grey clay; Deposition: composite (floors/bedding/plaster/packing/occupation); Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: Very fine grey floor (1mm thickness) under platform make-up/infill U.20944, occupying the whole extent of it. This floor was excavated together with its clayish silt make-up underneath due to the reduced thickness of these layers (some of them less than 1mm in depth). No finds or inclusions were encountered (clean floor).
Although this unit seems to meet U.20914 in the N part of it, in the S part this current layer is 2-3cm higher than U.20914. We will excavate deeper to find out if these two units are indeed the same.
