Unit 21519
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Trampled infill
Data Category Information: Location: between walls; Deposition: heterogeneous
Description: Sloping to the east. 0,24-0,12 m in variation in depth.
Discussion: Even though with inclusions of ash this unit was a moderately massive layer of heterogenous soil. It was recognized below U21518 in the SW quarter of space 40 as a greyish layer with a compacted nice surface. The soil was not very rich in finds but we found most common categories. It seems that this unit had been exposed for some time, thus getting a compacted worn surface covering the unit nicely. The unit itself is most likely an infill. Beneath it is the deposit U21544 and second layer of wall collapse U21503.
