Unit 22001
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: brick
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick; Deposition: homogeneous
Description: two bricks against northern wall 3626 of sp.490
Discussion: The unit number was assigned to record and distinguish two bricks, placed one (3cm thick) on the top of the other (8cm thick) joined together by mortar (U. 22003). All components mentioned above constitute a plausible pillar related to the Southern face of the northern wall of B.108.
The most upper brick was badly preserved due to erosion. However, it was undoubtedly bonded with the bricks of nearby wall (F.3626). That gives a base to suppose that both features (F. 3635 and F.3626) were built simultaneously in the same constructional phase.
