Discussion: Unit 22611-- foundation trench fill-- was recognized by its colour and texture. Comparing to the foundation infill of building 129 (orange), it's definitely darker and sometimes turning into brown/dark brown, and much softer. Foundation trench was dug and filled to strengthen the northern wall of building 129. It was excavated with trowels. 

Consistency: soft and loose 

Colour: mixed-- orange and brown/dark grey 

Texture: silty loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: brick & clay (burnt) 

Post-depositional Features: - 

Basal Boundary: clear-- came down on compact, orange room fill & plaster line of wall f. 7707 in B. 131
