Unit 22651
Category: Layer dug in 2015
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: post retrieval pit fill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: posthole; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: This layer is the crumbly yellowish grey fill put on top of the remains of the post in the center of space 500. Most probably the original post retrieval pit was much larger but all that remains now is this small deposit. At the bottom is a complete timber. The fill contained no finds, unlike the fill of post retrieval pit F. 7959 to the south which contained three obsidian items.
