Unit 22889
Category: Layer dug in 2015
Area: GDN
Interpretive Categories: infill
Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: bin; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: This was a bn infill defined in NE corner of GDN 2015 trench. It was the infill of the second smallest bin, adjacent to the westernmost one. There were four bins adjacent to each other, the unit numbers of their infills were (from W to E): 22895, 22889, 22883, 22888. The bin infills were placed underneath 22871 and shared visual characteristics with it. Bins' structures were attached to the N wall of B. 81 annex. Their bottoms were slightly below the floor lever (22858) of B. 81 annex. On top of the infill 22889 there was a cattle femur recorded as x2 of 22871. There was a also a horn core laying on the bin structure within the boundaries of this infill - it was also recorded within 22871 as x3.
A sample of charcoal was collected from this infill, recorded as s3, for c14 dating. It was collected from different spots, therefore no corrdinates could be provided.
