Unit 3051

Category: layer    dug in 1998

Area: North

Interpretive Categories: brick

Data Category Information: Description: not excavated

Dimensions: 8.6m W to E, 0.3m N to S, 0.23m thick

Discussion: Bricks in wall F218 which go with mortar (3052). The mud brick wall belong to the other building which is certainly later than building one. The building is situated in South of building one and survived only 2-3 courses of mud brick. Show continuity as it can be seen on general plan of the N area, however, the bricks have different character than the building one bricks.

Update 2015: Since wall F. 218 was equated with F. 7558, this unit should be considered as equal to the mud brick unit 21187, which was allocated to F. 7558. Any consideration of the plans/samples/finds of one should take into equal account the documentation of the other. AJM 12/07/2015.
