Discussion: This is a structure of the bin F.7139 located in the eastern part of space 511, just beside the Western face of wall F.7126. It is made of grey silty-clay, probably mixed with a marl-like component. The nature of the whole feature is unique and its purpose is still unclear. Within the particularities worth noticing is the oval shape in plan, sack-like section and the height of the construction. The walls of the structure varied in thickness (1 - 3cm) depending on the elevation and they remain separate constructions that do not share sides with the wall (F.7126) of the space. It seems that the structure was formed in a similar way as the oldest handmade pottery technique. Consequently, well noticeable in the section of the unit, parallel flattened tubers encircling the structure are probably the remnants of coils placed subsequently one on top of another, or spiraled, and then the gaps between several layers of coils were smoothly erased. That is why the structure is not attached to the wall as others container type features on the site.
Unit was not excavated in 2013.

4-6-2016 (JS) - Feature 7139 and associated plaster Unit 30575 was removed. Archive sample of the plaster was retained, as were two large samples of the unit to show manufacturing method(s). During the course of removal, large patches of phytoliths were observed extending from the eastern side wall through to the base of the unit. A scalpel was used to further expose the phytolith swathes. A light brown, loose soil deposit was immediately below the plaster. The base of Unit 30575 extends further below the floor of Space 511, immediately on top of the brown soil.
