Definition: north - north wall shrine 10, building 6 south - continues into section east - west wall of shrine 10, building 6 west - continues under wall 401 

Execution: trowel / mattock 

Condition: good 

Consistency: compact but soft 

Colour: darkish brown with small patches of lighter orangey brown + plaster 

Texture: clayey silt (more clayey that 4390) 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: occasional charcoal flecks, bone frags, clay ball frags, stones. Moderate brick/mortar/plaster frags 

Post-depositional Features: roots/insects/truncated by wall construction 

Basal Boundary: non-existent, arbitrary stop with layers 4439/40/41
