Discussion: Similar to 5398 above and not a surface like those to E but more plastery and with little coherent brick as in 5398. This came down relatively quickly onto a line of plaster perhaps marking the edge of an earlier platform beneath the oven and the complete rim of a pot within the layer beneath. The relative insignificance of 5402 as a distinct entity suggests it can be treated together with 5398 as essentially the same thing 

Recognition: plastery fill similar to (though more homogenous) 5398, which it underlies

Colour: white plaster, orange and grey brown brick frag 

Texture: silty clay
