Unit 11031
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Mudbrick wall
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: We removed the first course of this mudbrick wall (F. 1752) and noted few inclusions. IN profile and in plan, it was finally determined that this wall is truncated by wall F. 1755, its perpendicular to the East. However, the wall F. 1755 had no courses at the next level, whereas F. 1752 continues in a second course at the next level. The remnants of plaster (only a few intact patches) were noted along the N face of this feature, on both courses.
