Discussion: Its an infill od a poshole situated in northern part of an extension. Its cut was recorded as 11585 and both formed feature number 1188. The posthole was discovered within unit 11579 = a layer under the Roman floor (unit 10988). It was possible that the feature 1188 was associated with this floor as well as with a depression in its surface - recorded as feature 1187 (infill 10999, cut 10997). The depression might have been caused by slipping down of a fragment of a floor over the posthole.
In the infill of this posthole two stone and four robust sherds were placed which could have served to keep the part in vertical position.
