Discussion: This is a fragment of a white pebbled make-up layer located in the central part of Buildng 61 and it belongs to the youngest floor sequence of the Building. The best preserved fragment of this make-up layer was recorded as unit 12295. The unit 11780 is different from the latter as it has considerably looser consistency and generally less solid manufacture. The layer composed of a large amount of pebbles poured out into a calcerous mass. It was easily distinguishable from the layers above and below it. Both the make-up layer and the floor layer above it (unit 12281) are dated to phase I according to Mellaart. A floor from phase I (12285) was recorded below the unit as well as on the whole ground surface of Building 61.
