Discussion: Top layer of loose burnt mud brick rubble and ashy material over bin -part of large deposit along southern wall of building 1 which extends Northward, c.1.7 m and is ~0.25 m thick -see section drawing 96/221. Upper part of the deposit excavated last year (1995). 

 

Execution: Trowel 

Condition: Dry 

Consistency: Very weak 

Colour: 2.5 YR 5/8 (red) 5/6 

Texture: Sandy silty loam 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Charcoal 2% <1cm; burnt mud brick fragments 10-15 % <10 cm;burnt plaster 10-15% <20cm 

Post-depositional Features: Animal burrows 2%-10 cm 

Basal Boundary: Prominent, smooth, flat, sharp <2.5 mm
