Discussion: Layer is a grey red colour. It is very visable in the truncated burial section and looked like it would be the basal fill of a cut. Excavation revealed it to be an undulation layer sloping away to the east and west from a grey ridge (13408). Animal truncation and unit truncation have messed with its true formation. Extant remains suggests it was part of make up material for the NE part of B53.

Further ex showed initial thought - part of a fill in a cut to be correct.

Recognition: colour and layer visable in burial section a north/east area of building
