Unit 17253

Category: Layer    dug in 2008

Area: Trench 5

Interpretive Categories: plaster

Data Category Information: none

Dimensions: thickness up to 4cm

Discussion: 2008 Plaster of walls in sp.340. Heavily truncated by animal burrows. Firm, but very crumbly when dried out. As the relationship between 5052 and 2428 is not yet clear, the plaster of 5052 has been given a different number (17238), but probably all plaster has been put on the walls at the same time. Plaster 16897 of space 341 is probably contemporary as well = the same construction event. It seems as if there were two layers of plaster visible in some areas.

2012 This unit is the plaster on the walls of Space 340 (walls F.2428 and F.2413/5055). The plasrer was removed so that the walls could be better seen and then removed. In the NW and NE corners, the wall plaster connected to the floor, forming plastered corners.
