Unit 17451
Category: Layer dug in 2008
Area: North
Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: hearth; Material: baked; Deposition: multiple
Dimensions: 0,50 m N-S x 0,46 m E-W x 0,06 m thick
Discussion: Fill of hearth or oven cut the fill was 0,06 m thick and scorched hard throughout. (17451) likely represents many surfaces. The scorching however made it seem 'massive'. There was no encircling superstructure so the feature may be a hearth rather than an oven. Although it is possible that the feature has been horizontally truncated, removing an oven superstructure.
