Dimensions: top c 0.5m diam x 0.30 m deep 

Discussion: post pit cut agianst east wall F.1660 to the south. Associated/grouped with post retrieval pit F.1496 due to location and history of this sequence.

Sub circular, flat against the wall this was initailly interpreted as under excavated post rtrieval event. However the cut was sealed by the construction of the overlying bench F.1653 (despite trying, could not explain the extent of the overlying bench construction as post removal slippage and slumping), therefore this cut and fill is post infilling of earlier building but pre furniture construction. Therefore post pit emplacement for the process of building B.49.
