Discussion: This was an arbitrary layer that included the SE space, the central space, and in the second pass (the second 10 cm of soil removed), the NW space as well. The first 10 cm and the SE space contained more artifacts than the second 10 cm. A reddish-brown soil appeared in most of the southern section of the central space. It contained some sort of reddish crumbly clay. The northern section of the central space was more heterogenous. The NW section had a considerable amount of ash, while the NE section was mostly loose soil. A buttress (5062), which could be a fourth inner buttress. This needs to be examined later.
