Discussion: The unit consists of the light colored clay lining around the edges of the post hole along with the remnant of plaster along the base of the post cut. Since both appear (the clay and plaster) to be part of the same preparation for the post hole they have been grouped together. The clay was orginally thought to be a plaster lining but was not the same consistency as the bottom plaster upon its excavation.
