Data Category Information: Description: very mixed

Discussion: The layer was situated in the south-eastern part of the GDN Area. It was sealed with natural fill of 1960's trench.The top part of the layer was highly disturbed by roots and animals and heavily eroded so the decision of arbitrary excavation was made. The top part of U.22829 reminded more of a packing / fill that could have served as a base on which B.137 (B.I.5) was constructed. This structure was excavated by James Mellaart but the remnants of what seemed to be the two courses of the eastern mud-brick foundation were still preserved. The bottom part of the layer was more midden-like as it included more animal bones and was clearly layered.
