Data Category Information: Location: external; Deposition: finely bedded

Discussion: Well-stratified and rich in animal bones midden in southern part of the GDN Area. It seems to be a part of an open space that starts with a narrow lane documented in the western part of the excavation area. This midden sealed room-fill of Sp.561 and extends beyond southern and western limit of excavation. 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: dark grey, grey 

Texture: sandy silt, ash 

Bedding: multi-layered 

Inclusions: plant remains, clay aggregates, dung 

Post-depositional Features: truncation by pit F.8069 and, most likely, foundation cut for eastern mud-brick foundation of B.137; also truncation of the western side by unspecified pit excavated in 1960's 

Basal Boundary: arbitrary
