Description: mortar of 254 

 

Discussion: This very hard and compacted material used as a bonding material between and underneath of the bricks. It was also in the brick colour but feature of it was different. 

 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: sunshine, cold, clear 

Consistency: moderately weak 

Colour: 10 YR 6/4 light yellowish brown 

Texture: clay to silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: fine roots
