Discussion: Cut against E wall filled by plaster fragments, possibly from wall, some ashy lenses and brick. Similar to cut (2360) (SF, 22/09/97).
1998 SF:
Further excavation defined this cut as being underdug, therefore this description should be treated as a basal boundary with lower fill (2853) within cut (2855).
Shape: irregular
Sides: shallow in south (30-45 degrees), steeper in west (vertical) and north (70 degrees), undercutting to east (against wall face)
Base Break: gradual/imperceptible
Base: rather uneven
