Discussion: Remnants of building infill in NW corner of shrine 10a, its antechamber. The infill may poss. represent post level VII (ie the closure of level VII).

First recorded in section 1996, mostly excavated by Mell.

Abuts wall 74. (SF) 

Recognition: Recorded in section 1996 during recording of Mell. sections. infill in NW corner of shrine 10. Possibly associated with post level VII use. Infill homogenous pale brown, well mixed with building aggregates and few material ?? abutts the wall therefore clearly defined. 

Definition: Defined by walls. 

Execution: From edge followed wall face with trowel and small mattock. 

Condition: Very dry on surface with postdepo. root activity but harder and moist towards centre. 

Consistency: moderately firm 

Colour: 10 YR 5/3-4/3 brown 

Texture: clayey silt (40:60) 

Bedding: massive- well mixed and relatively broken/small building aggregates 

Inclusions: 5% small-med. plaster frags., 5% small-med. grey, mid brown and mid yellow brown brick frags., 2% small charcoal flecks, 1% small bone frags., 1% shell frags 

Post-depositional Features: dried out, cracks, root activity, 1% small salt 

Basal Boundary: clear, anthropogenic
