Discussion: This was the topmost layer in space 160, underneath Mellaart's backfill. Because it has been open to weather, its condition was not very good. The soil was very dry and cracked. it must bee an infill layer. Underneath this layer, at the south-east corner of the space, the beginnings of a wall was found which is covered with plaster on its southern face.
