Discussion: Tightly flexed young adult hands and feet located together which possibly suggests they were bound together. Lain on left side and tightly folded over so head rests on knees. Hands and feet pressed tightly against edge. Unusually cut is larger than the skeleton but as it was squashed towards the east leaves room to the west. I had originally wondered whether due to excess flesh - but that's a whole other debate - more likely to have been mis-deposited. During excavation several abnormal bones had been noticed - as well as the fact that total fusion of epiphysis had not taken place on all bones, however not until the lifting process was the full implication of these realised. Many bones were in a abnormal state - same bones fused before others and very spongy. Basically the human bone team declare this male skeleton diseased - which may explain which it was buried in this external space.

X and Y of Targets: Target A - X: 914.45; Target A - Y: 975.65; Target B - X: 914.42; Target B - Y: 474.9; Target C - X: 0; Target C - Y: 0; Target D - X: 0; Target D - Y: 0

Body: Tightly flexed lying on left side and then bent / folded over torso folded of midriff area, head face down on kneed to the East. Hands and feet located together at South end almost as if bound together,

Head:

Right Arm: right arm bent at almost 90 degrees lying across pelvis,

Left Arm: left arm bent at elbow below head

Right Leg: right leg fully flexed with knee at head end.

Left Leg: Left leg mirrors position of right leg

Other comments: Hands and feet tightly pressed against the edge of the unit, both patellae present, and located above head. Fits tightly against E + S side of cut though plenty of space left to West
