Discussion: Relatively clean, pale brown silt layer, truncated to E by pit (3723), presumably remnant of a floor. Excavated small part of S of (3955) with (3794) but then decided to treat as a separate unit. 

Recognition: Recognised during excavation of (3794) and inside of pit previous to excavation. 

Definition: Clear, defined to E by baulk. 

Execution: Trowel. 

Condition: Dry. Surface; smooth/flat - slightly inclined to W 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: 10 YR 6/3 pale brown (dry) 

Texture: clayey silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: occ. >2% charcoal flecks; occ. >2% bone flecks 

Post-depositional Features: occ.>2% salt flecks 

Basal Boundary: abrupt/distinct/smooth/flat
