Discussion: Initially recognised as thin layer of white plaster exposed to the N of (3763) on excavation proved to consist of thin white plaster, which partially overlay to W richer brown material, plaster element also became dirtier towards S until more of a grey occupation deposit. All peeled off as one layer.
Recognition: Recognised where partially exposed during cleaning. Clean white plaster relative to other adjacent units.
Definition: Clear to N and E, less clear to SW, gradually thinning out. Pre-exc. appears clear to W of baulk.
Execution: Trowel.
Condition: Dry. Surface; smooth/flat - inclined gradually to W overall.
Consistency: friable
Colour: 10 YR 7/2 light grey (dry)/ 10 YR 5/4 yellowish brown (dry)/ 10 YR 3/2 very dark greyish brown (dry)
Texture: clay/silt
Bedding: compund layered
