Discussion: Twenty-second layer of floor/lenses on platform F239.

This is fill in a cut (4024) through platform F239, possibly a grave cut? Cuts through plaster floor (4025) and possibly the two floor layers above (4025) also, these being (4018/4021). This was not excavated further as it is nearly the end of the season. The units (4018/4021) were cracked and discontinuous in the area of the cut, possibly because they were applied over a cut, rather than actually being cut through, although this is also possible.

Recognition: Cut/fill was apparent as is a different colour/texture to the plaster floor.

Definition: Defined by running section, and edges of the cut.

Execution: Leaf trowel, trowel.

Condition: Slightly moist.

Consistency: compact but friable when crushed

Colour: 10 YR 4/4 dark yellowish brown

Texture: clayey silt, ashy
