Unit description: Medium sized unit, mix of animal sizes 002 through 007 including cow, equid, sheep/goat, dog, human and possibly fox. There is also a fragment of a polished bone ring. Teeth and foot bones dominate the identifiable elements although threre are a significant number of long bone shaft fragments, especially of 03 size. Weathering moderate, little burning, some digestion. Variable fragment size. - not notable young animlas, but some unfused. The material appears to have been fairly rapidly deposited and there is a small amount of bone objects - three polished ribs, perhaps 'needles'. Recorded only diagnostics: sample 4, flot no 2855, >4mm, 100%. 2 large pieces small/medium equid (atlas, phalanx) , 1 sheep scapula, 1 sheep/goat humerus frag. Sample 3 >4 mm flotation 100% sorted, only diagnostics recorded fully, rest as flot frags. Quite a bit of gnawing on these. Heavily weighted toward toes. Sample 2 arrived on Nov. 8, 2000: it is a well-carbonized piece of burnt long bone from a large animal. Last number = 289Figurine Records: Yes
