Discussion: 5112 was a compound deposit made up of layers of floor and floor packing adjacent to the overhanging wall F 467 to the east and cut through by the cut 5111 for the obsidian rich deposit 5095. Much of the deposit was obscured by the overhanging wall F 467 and so could not be excavated until this was removed. The survival of plaster floors in this area implies that they might at one time have covered the south east corner of building 23, although they only survived here, adjacent to the wall, where they were relatively undisturbed. The south-eastern corner of the deposit, directly overlay pieces of burnt wood that has apparently been burnt in-situ. This apparently extended into the wall F 467 but was removed to prevent its destruction. This may just have been a deposit in the corner of the room, but could have had some structural purpose since it lay in a diostinct 'bowl' in this area. Further excavation to the west, revealed another area of patchy plaster 5131 which could be the equivalent floor layer to the remnant plaster floor in this deposit.
