Discussion: 'red' infill under plastery deposit 4947. A fairly consistent but undulating deposit, highest at SW end where section suggests max height 1004.18 (this taken out with 4943). On end within this deposit were a number of large 'bricks' of white plaster with a grey clay coating (see plan). Otherwise the deposit was generally more homogenous than the fills above, becoming more mixed lower down. The gridded infill below 5210 can probably be considered a seperate deposit although the division between the units is basically an arbitrary one (see 5211 etc).
5210 is a dense, homogenous reddish brown in its upper parts to the S + NE. Elsewhere + lower down this material is probably present within a mass of large lumps of brick, and especially plaster
