Description: Recognised as a large disturbance with orange mudbrick flecks and white concrete.
Discussion: This is the fill of a pit which is the same as (7219) - perhaps a large rubbish pit - suggested by the material - concrete, fish scales and other fragments of discard - either that or it is an industrial pit. However the pit has very irregular edges and does suggest rubbish disposal rather than an industrial deposit. The concrete, some of which is red painted, and tile is indicative od suggesting the presence of a disturbed grave below.

Inclusions: frequent white Byzantine concrete. Occasional tile and brick, occasional subangular small-medium stones. Frequent fish scales and associated bones. Orange frags of ?brick/daub - associated with the white concrete. Frequent chalc pottery
