Interpretive Categories: horn core 

 

Data Category Information: Location: between walls; Material: bucranium; Deposition: secondary deposition; Basal Spit: plaster or salt coating

 

Discussion: Horn core with plaster or salt coating; base still attached to part of skull. The tip is broken off or has disintegrated, but some of the casing is still preserved. The horn is oriented EW; it lies outside the N rim of what we have been calling a basin. This is a secondary deposit; the horn is in room fill and not related to any feature as far as we can tell.

Condition: warm, breezy

Colour: orangey-light brown 

Texture: horn 

Bedding: massive (no distinction)
