Cluster discovered while excavating U. 8877 - arbitrary layer of midden in sp. 226. It appears to be dumped directly on top of a supporting wall N2 against the main S wall of sp. 226. Interestingly, supporting wall N1 or more precisely one of its protruding bricks was laid directly on top of 2 skulls, crushing them. Was this a feast in honour of construction of a new wall???
Feed-back from the faunal specialists:
After a more detailed study in the lab Rissa reconsidered her previous observations and thinks that the cluster consists most probably of one skull of a cow with a pair of horn-cores, chopped into pieces and dumped into the midden
