Discussion: U. 8883 is the cut of a pit dug into the midden in sp. 226.
The pit is subcircular in plan, its N-S diam. is ca. 1.65 m and its W-E diam. is 1.40 m. It has a gradual top break of slopes, convex sides sloping at about 45 degrees and the base is slightly convex.
The cut was recognized after removal of U. 8877 (midden) but it cuts also through U. 8869. Most probably it was sealed by U. 8864 (midden).
