Discussion: It is a cut of a burial in S part of an extension.The skeleton within this pit was excavated as unit 8983 and its infill was registered as 8976. There were also two other units associated with this burial - these were - grave superstructure (8975) and a grave marker (7890).
The cut was partly under cutting and in its S side was forming a kind of niche.
This burial pit (feature 1171) was dug into an older cut (unit 8974).

Shape: ovoid, irregular 

Sides: vertical (in n side), under cutting (in S part) - forming a kind of a niche
