The excavation diaries are a daily log kept by the excavators on site during each season. They record the day to day activity of the team and their observations on their work.

Entry: The morning today was almost completely absorbed by total station working and sorting and labeling my finds. The sorting was not a terribly large quantity, but due to my working the total station, I was amazed how long it took to sort them. The total st... click here for more...

Entry: Today went rather smoothly with the total station as I backsighted often. I have also gotten better at being taking people’s points in groups so that I have more time for digging my unit. I wish that I was able to dig more, of course, but I still manage... click here for more...
