Discussion: Arbitrary layer - same as 13720 in the southern part of the trench. 13716 was removed across the northern and central parts of the trench as a c. 0.2-0.25m spit in order to define Chalcolithic architecture and Byzantine grave cuts below.

Consistency: Hard and compact on southern side; soft and loose on northern side suggesting disturbance here

Texture: Silty loam
Bedding: Massive
Inclusions: Occasional small to medium subangular limestones. Frequent abraded Chalcolithic pottery, some obsidian and animal bones. Also some human bone and CBM suggesting Byzantine grave disturbance
