Unit 14287
Category: Layer dug in 2007
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: layer under surface
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Initially, 14287 formed an arbitrary layer below the surface layer of 14825. A small vessel initially identified as Chalcolithic or neolithic was founud in the SE section of the unit.
Could not take a photo of 14287 as it was removed at the same time as 14285. It was decided not to do the 'microstratigraphy', 14285 (2cm thick!), so no sketch could be drawn either. The layer contained inclusions of ceramic, obsidian and animal bone, and surprisingly several pieces of stone. The next layer has been reached on the west edge, but it is not so clear on the east edge abutting 14286.
