Discussion: Removal of ashy debris underlying all floors in space 70 in order to check depth of surrounding walls taken out in the N-E corner of Space 70. This deposit comes down onto more clayey, less rubbishy deposit.

Consistency: Avoid Weak 

Colour: 7.5YR 5/1 grey. Also patchy 

Texture: silt-loan 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Charred remains 0.1-3cm 20% plaster & brick fig's 0.2-8cm 20%

Basal Boundary: Flat, Distinct, Slopings N-S
