Discussion: Small area of midden deposits, probably comprising of several layers, which was isolated from other layers by the 1995 sondage. It was later decided that the area to the south was part of the same layer and the details were added to the pan and context sheet. The larger area of this layer built up against a wall to the South and is cut to the west by 1043. Possibly disturbed by Mellaart to the East. Dry Sieve Information: Unknown if any dry seive

Consistency: loose (weak)
Colour: 2.5Y 4/4 dark grey brown
Texture: silty ash
Bedding: compound layers (probabley too dry to see.)
Inclusions: clay ball, bone, charcoal, obsidian, flint, stone
Post-depositional Features: Cut by Mellart on East by 1043 on South-West. Also some of layer to West removed in 1995.
Basal Boundary: Distinct and wavey, anthropogenic. A series of dumps. Layer slopes down gradually tothe South-West and East and is not vertical on the West side. Larger area of unit is cut to West by cut 1043.
