Unit 16929
Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: Fill under f. 3334 in sp. 450
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: EW: 1.5 m; NS: 1.5 m
Discussion: *(This Unit is not associated with 3321, this was an error in inputing the unit sheet--DLG)
This unit is the fill below the "bench" in sp. 450, in the center of building 98 (f. 3334, a plaster consruction abutting buttress f. 5052 on the south and east sides, and also the south side of f. 3335).
The base of u. 16929 is defined by another plastered surface which lays along the south face of f. 5052. This, and considering also the highly compact nature of the material, asllows for the possibility that it was intentionally constructed of poor/recycled building material in order to preserve the presence of an installation in this place (PTW).
