Discussion: basal off white mortar packing around post at insertion phase which then repeatedly plastered during course of building occupation, similar to mortar (17901) used to line associated bench F.1653 and therefore possibly at same time? . Appears that dry sieve volume of zero is valid 19/08/09 SAJ 

 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: off grey white 

Texture: lime 

Bedding: core is massive with successive plaster rendering 

Inclusions:  

Post-depositional Features: animal holes 

Basal Boundary: clear, constructional
