Discussion: Floor deposits removed of surface of floor make up. Probability given as medium because of Mellaart, not totally sure that the deposit is compact because he excavated down to this with post excavation compaction having taken place.
We continued this unit after the oven taken on 19.08.l997.

Consistency: moderately firm 

Colour: 10yr 5/3 brown 

Texture: fine sand silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: <1% silicous plant, salt <10mm,<2% plaster<10mm, organic material, charcoal <10mm,bone, clay ball, obsidian, stone and charcoal 

Post-depositional Features: roots some insects 

Basal Boundary: clear anthropogenic trampled, clearly visible, but shares some characteristics with underlying unit (1894).
