Unit 21538
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Dirty floor
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general
Description: Thickness of floor varied between 0.005 to 0.025 m.
Discussion: The unit consisted of the dirty floor layer in the south-eastern part of the building. It was clear from the excavation of other floors in the building that the dirty floor was not in phase with the rest of the building. Unfortunately, the plaster had been degraded. As a result, removal of the dirty floor revealed clean paster in some parts, and the make-up layer beneath in others. However, it is clear to see the continuation of the clean plaster on features 7324 and 7325 into the area covered by the dirty floor. This unit was excavated by trowel.
